The boy chose this book – Dogfish by Gillian Shields – himself when he was about 4 years old. I still remember not being entirely convinced it was a good buy when paying for it at the till. But it turned out to be a very good choice indeed. Great illustration, slightly mad story, and the mother in the story says the sort of thing that I would say to my kids.
The book’s now successfully transferred to my 2 year old who, at the moment, enjoys the pictures more than the plot.
